You've Been Here Before.
The place is here, the time is now, and every decision you've ever made has been tried already, in vain.
This archive is the surviving record of Circa 1996: lyrics, files, archetypes, contradictory accounts, and unreliable narrators.
Circa 1996 is the ongoing musical project founded by multi-instrumentalist and auteur Alex Waters. Originally conceived in 2024, it took over a year and a half before the group's first EP was released. Since then, two more records (a full-length and another EP) have deepened the story, raised new questions, and set up further sonic exploration.
